Top 5 Benefits of Waxing
- Longer lasting and Smoother – Since the hair is pulled from the roots, it grows back slower and skin is left feeling smoother.
- No “Razor Danger” – Shaving can leave cuts, nicks, scars, or rashes. Waxing does not use sharp blades, yet removes all the hair.
- Hygiene – Hair can trap germs that can cause infections and produce odors. Remove the hair, avoid the germs.
- Convenience and Speed – Waxing saves time from shaving and one session typically last 3-5 weeks
- Confidence – Waxing gives you a clean, long lasting look, without itching or irritation. You’ll feel confident that you’ll look and feel your best in everything you wear!
Before Treatment Guidelines
- Сonsidering your level of tolerance for discomfort, waxing can hurt or simply be uncomfortable. Keep in mind that you are removing the hair from its base. Though I promise to make you as comfortable as possible! The more times you go through the procedure, the less sensitive your skin becomes.
Grow your hair for at least 2 weeks after the last shaving and prior to the appointment ( ¼ inch long is usually enough).
Do not shave between the appointments!
You have to be off Accutane or other retinoids for at least 6 months prior to your wax treatment.
Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before your appointment, and no caffeine the morning of your appointment. It can make your body more sensitive to the procedure.
Aftercare Guidelines
- A little redness, some soreness, or small bumps immediately after waxing is a perfectly normal reaction.
-
Keep the treated skin clean and bacteria-free to prevent any irritations. Don’t scratch, wipe, or touch the waxed areas with unwashed hands.
- For the first 24 hours after waxing, exfoliating products and loofahs are prohibited.
- Immediately after waxing, avoid tanning salon, fake tan, and direct sunlight, and use sunscreen.
- After underarm waxing, do not use deodorant, body sprays, lotions, or powders at least 4 hours.
- After face treatment, do not use any makeup!
- No tight clothing during the first days after Brazilian waxing – cotton is a good choice.
- During the first 48 hours, friction, sauna, hot shower, steam room, pool, gym, massage, or other heat/water activities are not allowed.
- 3-10 days after waxing, you have to prevent ingrown hairs. For this purpose, use exfoliating products, exfoliate the waxed areas with a dry brush or exfoliating mitt/glove, and repeat this procedure a couple of times every week.
-
You can book your next appointment in 4-6 weeks after the last one.
